５月３１日に運動会が行われました。例年９月に実施していましたが、熱中症予防のため、５月に時期を変更しました。
３年生にとっては、海外研修から帰国して１週間ほどしかたってないので、準備等大変でしたが、スローガン「できっこないをやらなくちゃ」のごとく、全学年が協力して準備を進めてきました。
当日は、家庭や地域のみなさんの協力も得ながら、練習の成果を出し切って、みんなが楽しめる運動会になりました。
On May 31st,we had the Sports Festival.We changed the event season to protect the heat stroke from this year.

Students had a wonderful time with not only their friends but also their family and local people.
５月２４日に、１週間後に行われる運動会の環境整備を兼ねて、親子奉仕作業が行われました。草刈りや花壇の整備、テント張り、ワックスがけなど、親子で力を合わせて活動しました。
２時間ほどの作業でしたが、運動場や校舎まわり、教室等の床がとてもきれいになりました。
最高の環境で学習活動ができます。ご協力、ありがとうございました。
On May 24th,we had the clean up activity include the prepare for the sports festival.Parents and students worked together to do tasks such as mowing the grass, maintaining the flower beds, setting up tents, and waxing.
We can have good school lives in a wonderful environment.Thanks for cooperating this activity.
５月２０日（火）・２１日（水）に、ふるさと自然教室に行ってきました。設楽中学校「生活の三原則（時を守る・礼を正す・場を清める）」はもちろんのこと、今回の宿泊研修では「みんなで協力」「流れをつかむ」「ふるさとを知る」「しっかり計画」「きまりを守る」の５つのことを意識して過ごしました。
各地区・小学校訪問では、自分が生まれ育った場所の魅力を伝えようと４月から準備をしてきました。本番では、どの地区の子も笑顔で丁寧に説明をしていました。私自身も、今まで知らなかったことをたくさん知ることができた２日間でした。
夕食づくりやオリエンテーリング、昼食づくりなど、生活班で行動する場面がたくさんありました。とても短い宿泊研修でしたが、この２日間だけでも友だちのよさを見つけ、班で協力することの大切さに気づくことができたようです。
また今回の宿泊研修では、司会やあいさつなど、１人１役の担当がありました。あらかじめ自分たちで台詞を考えてはいましたが、直前にもう一度台詞を確認して修正する姿もありました。伝えるべき相手に言葉や気持ちがしっかりと伝わるように、はきはきと話すことができました。
２日間のふるさと自然教室で、１人ひとりが成長し、よりよいクラスへ向かっている気がします。５月は行事が続いて忙しいですが、次は運動会に向けて一生懸命練習をしています。１年生２９人全員で団結して行う種目は長縄跳びのみですが、ぜひ楽しみにご来場ください。
On May 20th and 21st,1st grade students had the Hometown and Nature Class.
They had the presentation of their elementary schools and the area where they live.
They cooked curry and rice,fried noodles and they did the orienteering with some groups.Through these activities,they found the good things about friends and realized the importance of cooperation.
16日に、かしま学級の生徒1名、浜松へ校外学習へ行ってきました。
東京への国内研修を見据えて、計画・準備をしてきました。新幹線の乗車体験、浜松楽器博物館の見学と盛りだくさんの1日を過ごしてきました。昼食のため訪れたレストランでは、自分で支払いをすることもできました。
今後も、いろいろな体験を学校で積むことができるように計画しています。
On May 16th,The student who is belong to Kashima class went to Hamamatsu city.
The student took Shinkansen and visited the Musical Instrument Museum.At the restaurant for lunch,the student learned how to pay the money.
３年生の３名の生徒は、５月１５日～１７日に北海道に行ってきました。
天気が心配されましたが、一度も雨に振られることなく、行ってくることができました。
北海道では、ノーザンホースパーク、旭山動物園、札幌市内探索をしてきました。
北海道の美味しい食材を使ったご飯もいただき、大満足の３日間でした。
From May 15th to 17th,3 third grade students went to Hokkaido.They visited the Northen Horse Park,the Asahiyama Zoo and Sapporo city.They enjyoed eating dishes using ingredients from Hokkaido.
They are going to have the presentation of this trip at the School Festival.
本年度、１回目の避難訓練を実施しました。
理科室で火災が発生した想定で、避難しました。
落ち着いてスムーズに避難することができました。周りの様子を伺いながら
避難する様子も見られたそうですが、いざという時は自分の判断で動くことも
あります。日頃から安全に心がけて生活していきましょう。
We had the evacuation drill at first time in this school year.The drill was conducted under the assumption that a fire broke out in the science lab.The students were able to evacuate calmly.We would like to live our life with a high level of safety awareness.
今週から５月末にある運動会に向けての練習が本格的に始まりました。特に、３年生は応援合戦の振り付けを１、２年生に教えるという重大な役割があります。最上級生としての姿を見せるチャンスでもあるので、限られた時間の中でリーダーシップを発揮し、効率的に取り組んでいけるとよいです。
We started to practice for the sports festival.Especially,3rd grades have an important mission to teach the cheerleading competition choreography to 1st and 2nd grades.They'll try to show their leadership and do their best in a limited time.
５月３日・４日にJA愛知東理事長杯が行われました。
１回戦 対千郷・東郷中合同チーム １１－０
決勝戦 対東栄中 ５－６
結果は惜しくも準優勝でした。決勝戦では、後半の粘りで延長戦になりました。最後までもつれましたが、惜しくもあと一歩でした。今回の経験を生かして、郡大会に向けてさらにチーム全体のレベルを上げるように頑張ります。
On May 3rd and 4th,our baseball club participated in a tournament of Higashi Mikawa area.
First Round : 11-0 vs Chisato and Togo junior high school team
Finals : 5-6 vs Toei junior high school
We will make use of this experience to improve our team's level for the next tournament.
４月２８日（月）に生徒会執行部企画の新入生歓迎会がありました。全校かくれんぼでは、１年生と他学年の生徒がペアになり、一緒に学校を探索しながら隠れました。自己紹介の中で、緊張している後輩に優しく話しかける先輩らしい姿が素敵でした。また、後半のドッジボールでは、チームの１年生に自分のとったボールを渡し、「投げていいよ！」「がんばれ！」などの声かけをしている生徒もいました。
On April 8th,we had the welcome party for new students.First grade students paired up with other grade students and played hide-and-seek.After that,we split some teams and played dodgeball.In both cases, the older students spoke kindly to the first grade students.
4月23日に、学校薬剤師さんと新城保健所の方をお招きして「薬物乱用防止教室」を行いました。
普段使っているかぜ薬などでも、用量、用法を守って使わないと、体に害を与えることや、身の回りの自然の中にも、ケシなどの麻薬につながる植物が生えていることを知り、生徒は衝撃を受けているようでした。
自分の生活を振り返る良いきっかけとなるとともに、薬物の使い方を見直すきっかけとなりました。
On April 23rd,we had the drug abuse prevention classes with a school pharmacist and a public health center staff.
They were shocked because medicine that they use normally can harm to their bodies.And they were surprised to learn that we can find some norcotic plants such as the poppy in the wild.
We had a good opportunity to reexamine our lives and the way we use medicine.
